…Yet, A Simple Perspective Shift

Waiting is a challenging place to be.  You’ve put in the work (or possibly are still putting in the work) and are ready for the desired outcome.  But it isn’t coming…yet.

Adding that one word to the sentence can shift your perspective from hopelessness and disappointment into possibility and anticipation.

Let’s try it on a few of the things you might be waiting on currently.

I don’t have the job promotion/clients/customers I want…yet.

I don’t have the baby/partner I want…yet.

I’m not finished with this project…yet.

I haven’t traveled to _______…yet.

I don’t have the body/home/life I want…yet.

I don’t have a work/life balance…yet.

I haven’t written my book/created my course/started my business…yet.

What is yours? I don’t have/haven't ____________________…yet.

Say it out loud a couple of times. Do you notice a difference in how it feels with that extra word? What becomes possible with you from this simple perspective shift?

Personally I find it helps lighten the tension, allows me to continue to take action, and trust that something is coming (even if it’s not what I originally thought).

How about you? What do you notice when you add “yet” to the thing you are waiting for?

Perspective shifting is one of the ways I help my clients get out of their own way and move toward what they want most. If you (or someone you know) would benefit from some extra support in this season moving in the direction they want then reach out.

Send me an email at hello@latishaleppert.com to let me know more. Or schedule a free 30 minute clarity call to see what could be possible for you (or someone you know) through coaching.
